The Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress of China decided at its 16th meeting to ratify the Convention on the Establishment of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed), signed by representative of the Government of the People’s Republic of China on 30 May 2025 in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and declared that in keeping with Articles 25 and 29 of the Convention, the People’s Republic of China will not submit its disputes under the World Trade Organization (WTO) to the IOMed.
